Yealink has recently launched a new Yealink SkySound CM20 flush-mount ceiling microphone. It differs from the Yealink VCM38 ceiling microphone, which offers a surface mount option that can extend with the included mounting accessories. The new ceiling microphone offers an 83mm low-profile design. Equipped with 16 omnidirectional units, it delivers unparalleled pro-level audio clarity. It automatically adapts to room conditions for effective noise and echo reduction with AI Dynamic Noise Reduction and AI Reverberation Suppression. Integrated with DSP, the CM20 offers plug-and-play functionality with Yealink MVC systems, eliminating the need for an additional DSP device.
The CommsPartner team is excited to test the new microphone to see how it compares to our Shure and Sennheiser microphones. These are more advanced solutions, but hopefully, the Yealink team have invested the time to provide a product that could compete with these solutions in the video conferencing market.
It is important to note that the Yealink microphone is only for Yealink video conferencing equipment, so it won't replace the Shure and Sennheiser ceiling microphones that we use with other video conferencing brands. All our video conferencing room designs depend on the client's requirements and what the best solution is for the specific meeting room, auditorium, or classroom facility.
The new Yealink SkySound CM20 will be available from March 2024, but we only expect the stock to be available in South Africa between April and May this year.
Contact the CommsPartner sales team in South Africa if you require additional information while we await the new ceiling microphone.
